South Charlotte Homes| Foxcroft in Southpark Overtakes Eastover and Myers Park as Most Expensive Area in Charlotte
January 15th, 2008 Categories: South Charlotte
Foxcroft, always one of the premier Southpark-South Charlotte area communities, combines a close-in
location and large property lots…the result? Large homes, large yards, and the most expensive real estate in Charlotte.
Foxcroft has overtaken Eastover, Myers Park and Morrocroft as the most expensive neighborhood in Charlotte. At the heart of the rising prices? Rising land values. The Foxcroft area runs between Sharon Rd, Sharon Lane, and Providence Rd, and on a bit down towards Fairview, and has been the target of many homebuilders- infills, retrofits, and teardowns- over the past five years. The convenience of the area, and corresponding appreciation in the area-25% in the Southpark area over the last 3 years- is transforming the area. Affluent home buyers have responded… for those who can afford it, Foxcroft is an ideal choice for a luxury home with a close-in location on a larger lot. Here are the Sold Average Cost Per Square Foot (CPSF) Costs in 2007:
Eastover- average Sales price $1,124,345 , average SF 3693- Sold CPSF $304/SF
Morrocroft- average Sales price $1,954,833, average SF 6346, Sold CPSF $308/SF
Myers Park- average Sales price, $909,434, average SF 3,163, Sold CPSF $287/SF
Foxcroft- average Sales price $1,603,585, average SF 4,882, Sold CPSF $328/SF

When I was in high school, I used to deliver pizza in Foxcroft! I used to love to drive around and look at the beautiful homes… you could get lost down in those amazing neighborhoods. I was driving somewhere the other day and past through Foxcroft. I was floored by some of the new building or renovations that have made a gorgeous area even better!
