Matthews Alive: Coming Labor Day Weekend

the annual Labor Day celebration is the largest outside of Charlotte–its been a Labor Day tradition of my family for ten years… here are some pictures from recent years:
What’s the purpose of Matthews Alive? from their website: “The festival exists to provide a venue for nonprofit organizations to raise funds for their groups, who do everything from collecting trash and operating game booths, to participating in the parade on Saturday. Since 1993, Matthews Alive! is proud to have been able to contribute hundreds of thousands of dollars back into the Matthews area. ”
