Pigs & Battleships
Saturday July 12th, 8 pm (Free)
Patchwerk Playhaus
Part black comedy, part crazed-drama this is the first full flush of creativity from the late great Shohei Imamura. A U.S. fleet anchored in Yokosuka is the establishing order that the degenerate youth (one sells pigs, among other things) must revolt against. Imamura sees no difference between the military racket and the black market as subtlety is nowhere to be found in this movie. Lots of yelling and sarcasm yet the energy exerted creates a sympathetic coda: no matter how bad it gets, you must make choices and rationalizations.

She’s a 6′2 southern ex-trucker, cab driver, baseball mascot, pooper-scooper & charm school graduate! But don’t let that fool you! She’s also one of the funniest comedians male or female, on the circuit today!
She has shared the stage with such talents as: Jackie Mason, Michael Winslow, Bob Goldthwait, Louie Anderson and many, many more. She got hooked on comedy as a child before she really knew what a stand-up comedian was. She watched every episode of The Little Rascals & I love Lucy and could recite every Richard Prior album from front to back. Have a laugh with this great comedian this weekend!
