Independence Day Event Charlotte Museum of history hezekiah alexanderFriday, July 4

Do your children know what it means to be an American? If you’re home for the 4th of July, celebrate at the Charlotte Museum of History. Red, White and Boom! Uptown fireworksRed, White and Boom!

Clear Channel and Scott Clark Toyota are teaming up again to bring Red, White and Boom! Uptown on July 4th. Clear Channel’s five radio stations, 96.1 The Beat, WRFX 99.7 The Fox, Lite 102.9, 96.9 Kat Country and 106.5 The End will host evening viewing parties throughout the Uptown.

In addition, US Airways will be presenting Family Fun Fest at Memorial Stadium along with WLYT (Lite 102.9) and WKKT (96.9 Kat Country) as host radio stations. Family-friendly activities will run from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. There will be stadium and grass seating to watch the fireworks. The event is alcohol-free but there will be food and soft drinks on sale.

The “Red, White and Boom!” fireworks show will be approximately 20 minutes long. The show begins at 9:30 p.m. (weather and fire department clearance permitting). The show will be staged to a music track that will be played live at all viewing venues and will be simulcast on all five Clear Channel Radio stations.

Friday, July 4 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. A fun filled evening will begin with a small town parade at 5:30pm from Davidson Town Hall and ending at McEver Field. At McEver Field, festivities will include a children’s amusement area, stage entertainment, concessions and the most spectacular fireworks show in the Lake Norman area.

We encourage everyone to come out and march in the parade dressed in your best Independence Day attire. THE SUMMERDAZE BAND will perform live from 6:30pm - 9:30pm. As Carolina’s Premieer Variety Dance Band this local 6-piece is energized to bring their take on a wide range of good time dance music.
