There were 470 Pending home contracts, and 426 sales contracts closed, another 105 went Conditional awaiting inspections. The average Days on Market for the Closed Sales was 92 days. Median Price: $236,736 Average cost Per SF Sold: $114

Mecklenburg County Foreclosures Down in May 2008
Even as national and North Carolina foreclosures rose in May 2008, versus May 2007, Mecklenburg County foreclosures were down 9% reports the Charlotte Business Journal.
This is excellent news for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region, (Charlotte accounts for about 90% of Mecklenburg) the #1 real estate market in the country, and giving more signs that the housing market decline has either stopped or begun to shift back to its normal growth rate here in Charlotte. Elsewhere around the US, foreclosures are still increasing. The “top” state for foreclosures remains Nevada, with 1 in 96 homes going into foreclosure in May. North Carolina ranked 26th, with one in 704 properties going into foreclosure in May 2008. The complete state by state foreclosure report is available from Realty Trac.
