Charlotte NC Real Estate Update
For the week ending 5/24/08, there were 499 closed sales, and 592 new contracts went pending. This is against over 22,000 homes on the market in the greater Charlotte area covered by the Carolina MLS . (Includes parts of upstate South Carolina) Congrats to these two waterfront sellers (brokers too!) on Lake Wylie, side by side For Sales, have now become side by side Solds.
The greatest momentum is not surprisingly in the under $1M market, accounting for more than 90% of the Closed and New Pending contracts. I don’t report Days on Market, because it is just not meaningful the way it is computed.
For townhomes and condominiums, 67 condos closed this week, and there were 96 new contracts, with 3805 on the market.
