South Charlotte to Union County
This South Charlotte area includes the popular zip codes 28270, 28277, 28226, and Matthews too, (sorry Matthews if you are offended:)) in 28105. This is roughly the area south of RT 51, Pineville-Matthews Road, (28226 is north of Rt 51) to the Union County, South Carolina border. I covered close-in South Charlotte in a prior post. Communities include popular and affordable Beverly Crest (on left) to the more expensive Providence Plantation and Ballantyne below. It also includes the country club communites of Providence Country Club, Piper Glen, parts of Firethorne and of course Ballantyne Country Club.
So, in south-South Charlotte area today, there are:
25 homes for sale under $200,000
290 homes for sale under $300,000 but more than 200k
173 homes for sale under $400,000, but more than 300K
407 homes for sale under $500,000, but more than 400k130 homes for sale under $750,ooo, but more than 500K
61 homes for sale under $1,000,000, but more than 750K
50 homes for sale under $2,000,000, but more than 1M.
and 20 homes over $2,000,000. The most expensive home on the market in South Charlotte is listed at $6,800,000. It offers 7 bedrooms, 7|4 baths and 11,487 square feet.
In 2007 there were 2,958 homes sold in these 4 zip codes, so the 1,026 for sale now represents only a 4 month supply, at this the slowest time of year.It is a Buyers market, just not as severe as many places around the US where inventory levels exceed one year of sales. So, there are a lot of homes for sale, which means to you there is a good selection!
And appreciation? The most recent market report will be posted later today, but home prices rose over 7% in south-south Charlotte in 2007. WOW.
